Odd Numbers

We prefer things in threes (for instance, the protagonist and his or her two other fiends) and have the “Rule of Thirds” because two is not appealing. We are used to focusing primarily on one thing, ourselves, and when presented with a new situation (art, for instance), we need odd numbers; we can’t stand the idea of even numbers because they require a certain amount of equality when in a pair, whereas odd numbers leave an outlier, a single interest for the mind to grasp onto.

Is this why we like odd numbers?

Japan’s MTSAT-2 (also known as Himawari-7) collected these images of yesterday’s annular solar eclipse from geostationary orbit.
The satellite (similar to the United State’s GOES satellites), observed the moon’s shadow as it passed over Australia & the Pacific Ocean. The image sequence begins at 21:32 UTC, with an additional image each hour until 02:32 UTC. The eclipse itself lasted from 22:33 UTC until 02:20 UTC.
Leaving a final that I’m pretty sure I failed
